I am finding that reverence does not come naturally to me. I have become so comfortable with the luxury of God’s grace that I have forgotten to be humbled by the miracle of forgiveness that exists to hold that relationship in place. There is such splendor in the world, such majesty in the nature of my everyday life – but I have neglected the awe that should accompany a creation so artistic. I have gotten lazy with my appreciation of the colors of our planet and the way that Mother Nature protects us, exactly as she was designed to do. I am completely stricken this morning by the ways that I have taken advantage of the Helping Hands that support me, guide me, and forgive me my trespasses.
“There are things you will see and hear out of your fear and reverence for God that you will not experience in any other way.” – Henry Blackaby
