When the accumulation of our little worries is screaming in our heads, it is impossible to hear the whisper of a gentle and patient and often quiet God. In the moment-yes the very second-that we stop being afraid, the shouting stops and the right things become abundantly clear. Tread softly through the caverns of the mind and only set your foot upon the promises of hope. For strolls in the darkness can be more deafening than you realize and the Spirit rarely yells.
