Therapy of Helping

The day after tragedy struck our community, one of my coworkers made a comment about how lucky we are that we work with animals, especially in times like these. There is no therapy quite as healing as lending a helping hand to a four legged friend in need of love. Somedays (most days) the hours are long and smelly, but I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of the movement to end animal homelessness. Today I got to pull 5 puppies from the pound and keep five little innocent hearts beating. That’s 5 reasons to be proud of my work and my colleagues and 5 reasons to sleep well tonight.
