You will not often find yourself suddenly and effortlessly transformed into the individual that you want to be. Discipline takes hours upon hours of reminding yourself not to do this or to start doing that. If you are waiting on the healthy and grounded version of you to knock on the door and walk right in, ask yourself if you’ve ever actually invited that person into your life. We get rid of our baggage one piece at a time and never any more than that. Making a routine out of improving yourself is a long-term investment. “Where you invest your love, you invest your life” – but most of us have been investing in the wrong things for too much of our lives and some of us are not investing in anything at all. Perhaps it is time that we start.
